The cabin is located on a pine grove lot with access to a SHARED private dock on deep water Brices Creek. Brices Creek flows into the Trent and Neuse Rivers and then out to the Atlantic Ocean. Our top Pamlico area vacation rental tips:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Pamlico area area. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Pamlico area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Pamlico area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guides have offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. The Sanderling Tiny Cabin Water Access\/Private Shared dock has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
