Book your next trip with Wicked East Charters and find out what makes the fishing in Oriental so unique. Captain Gregory will be your guide, bringing aboard years of angling experience.
These waters are known for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Flounder, Striped Bass, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, and more – with any luck, you’ll find out for yourself! On the day of your trip, you’re likely to spin using light tackle.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You’ll find yourself aboard a 22’ C-Hawk bay boat with a capacity for 3 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with Wicked East Charters and get hooked!
