Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental home experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer time is high season in the Pamlico area area. To find the most suitable rental home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Pamlico area area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Pamlico area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
